This Sian Ka’an  Reserve Tour offers an educational overview of the area via boat, snorkeling, and walking.  It provides knowledge the Mayan history, bird watching and fun!!!

The tour begins at 7:30AM in Playa del Carmen and will return at 7:40PM to Playa del Carmen. This option is also available for people staying at the Riviera Maya Hotels or Tulum town.

After arriving at the location in Sian Ka’an reserve, you will board a boat in the Asunción Lagoon where your guide will tour through the mangrove, pointing out the indigenous species of  plant, birds, wildlife and water creatures that live in the Sian Ka’an.  Your visit to “Cayo Culebras” which is known for pelican frigates or cormorant birds is a great highlight of the tour. The boat will stop in the Muyil Ruins and let you wander the grounds and see a smaller yet interesting Mayan Ruin.  Then you will snorkel and observe for yourself the many species of fish and corals that call this area home. Lunch is served in Punta Allen, a little town at the end of the coast and famous for the fisherman’s lobster.  Your trip back will have you driving through the biosphere where you can witness more animals and birds.
