The Tulum archaeological site is relatively compact (compared with many other Maya sites in the vicinity), and is one of the best-preserved coastal Maya sites. Its proximity to the modern tourism developments along the Mexican Caribbean coastline (the “Riviera Maya,” surrounding Cancún) has made it a popular destination for tourists. The Tulum ruins are the third most visited archaeological site in Mexico, after Teotihuacan and Chichen Itza. It is popular for the picturesque view of the Caribbean and a location just 120 km south of the popular beach resorts of Cancún.

*45 minute guided tour in the ruins of Tulum
*1 1/2 hours of free time to swim in the ocean or to shop in the flea market on site.

Time schedule:
7:50 am Depart from Playa del Carmen
9:30 am Arrival to the Ruins of Tulum
12:30 pm Departure from Tulum
1-1:30 pm Arrival in Playa del Carmen
What to bring: Money for souvenirs and tips, comfortable shoes, camera, extra charge for video camera inside the ruins (35 pesos- approx $3.50 US), bathing suit and towel if you would like to swim.

Cancellations are accepted 3 days prior to tour date for full refund. Refunds also available if there is any reason weather cancels the tour. You would be notified at pick-up or the night before if possible.
