The Eco Park is equally concerned with sensitizing visitors to the imperative need to save the planet, which it does through various interactive activities.

The Eco Park has a Museum with scale models of the ancient Maya cities; a Butterfly Pavilion; a Wild Bird Breeding Aviary; an archaeological zone; a Mayan village; two underground rivers; a Botanical Garden housing an Orchid, a Mushroom Farm and an Apiary; the Rincon Mexicano, with an hacienda, charreria (traditional horsemanship) shows and a fair; a Coral Reef Aquarium; two dolphin areas; a lagoon with manatees; pumas and jaguars on their own lush islands; small mammals representative of the local fauna; five restaurants offering Mexican and Caribbean specialties, along with live music; rest areas; aquatic activities; a rotating scenic tower; and, finally, Xcaret Spectacular Night in the Grand Tlachco. The Night Show… Xcaret Spectacular Night comes at the end of an entire day full of adventures at the Eco Park. In the Valley of the Scents, the deep call of pre-Hispanic drums resonate in the night air and the wind carries the notes of ocarinas, bells and conch shells. The priests and Mayan warriors, wrapped in the smoke of incense, announce an unprecedented cultural and historic journey in the Grand Tlachco, the large theatre that has a seating capacity of 6,000. Accompanied by the song of the conch shells and other pre-Hispanic musical instruments, Mayan children open the spectacle singing in chorus an ancestral legend.

Water activities
Xcaret offers diving and snorkeling tours to the barrier reef €“second largest in the world€“ extending only a few feet from shore. The ecotour varies depending on the level of experience and includes a class for those who are going under for the first time. Snuba Diving is a new sport that combines diving technology with the freedom of snorkeling. And Sea Trek is the ideal alternative for those who don€™t know how to swim. By simply walking along the ocean floor in a bathing suit and helmet, one can visit the closest reefs accompanied by yellow and silver-colored shoals of French grunt fish. The interactive Dolphin Swim programs at Xcaret are without a doubt the experience that closest approach swimming with them in their natural habitat, as our dolphinariums has been adapted to the natural ocean inlets of the Caribbean thus giving them enough space and an environment where they can feel the natural rhythm of the Mexican Caribbean Ocean.

Play, learn and interact with our fascinating and friendly bottlenose dolphins that truly enjoy human company. The purpose of all our activities is that through spending time with dolphins.

Without any doubt, the perfect combination of the incredible natural beauty of Xcaret Park and the joy and inspiration of the swimming with the dolphins will make you feel one with nature.

Restaurants within the Park:
Xcaret Restaurants - Mexican Food

Beneath broad palm roofs, four of the five restaurants are strategically located in these zones to offer the best service, in addition to spectacular views.

Excellent international or Mexican cuisine can be savored to the rhythm of vibrant folkloric musical ensembles at any one of the Xcaret restaurants.

The selection includes seafood bisque, coconut or tamarind shrimp, fish tikin’ xic-style (braised with Mayan herbs), seafood tacos, shrimp fajitas and fish carpaccio, among others.

Thanks to its two treatment plants that allow for alternate uses of wastewater, the Park makes sure to prevent contamination of both the ocean and underground rivers.

Organic waste is used for compost, while plastics, paper and aluminum are collected for recycling.

La Peninsula:
Great variety of seafood, seafood cocktails, ceviches and snacks. From 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

La Laguna:
International Buffet. Monday to Saturday, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

La Cocina:
A very Mexican atmosphere and cuisine. From 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

La Orquidea:
Breakfast and Snacks. From 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Lunch from 12:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

La Isla: for special events.

La Caleta:
Seafood specialties. Monday to Sunday, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

El Manglar:
Hamburgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, tortas and tacos. From 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Los Carritos:
Located strategically throughout the Park, offering soft drinks, beer and snacks.

Dinner at the Tlachco:
Have a preferential seat for the Xcaret México Espectacular show and taste an original mixture of regional and international dishes that satisfy even the most demanding palates. Available all week. Summer: 7:00 to 9:15 p.m. Winter: 6:00 to 8:15 p.m.
