Hotel Posada Freud is located on Playa del Carmen’s famous 5th Avenue, right in the heart of Playa del Carmen, only a 50-meter walk from the white sandy beach and the crystal clear blue sea. Even though you’re in the center of Playa, as soon as you step into the hotel’s beautiful garden you can taste the relaxed and friendly atmosphere of the hotel.
The hotel has 11 rooms and 1 big Penthouse all situated around the garden. If you come with a group of 5 people or more, the best place to stay is our Penthouse.
Whatever room you choose depends on the amount of people you come with and the extra luxuries you wish for. But no matter what your choice is, we’ll always try to make your stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible.

Rooms and Studio 192
We offer 4 categories, which are divided into Basic, Standard, Suite and Studio, depending on size, equipment, furniture, number and size of beds.
All rooms have a private bath, fans, access to terrace or garden with hammocks and beds that vary from Double, Queen and Kingsize. Some are also equipped with a fridge, coffee machine as well as AC and Cable-TV.
Basic Rooms
The basic rooms lie on the ground floor and have direct access to the garden with the two wonderful and enormous almond trees (usage of the hotel fridge).
Standard Rooms
Most of the standard rooms are located on the first floor with a big private terrace, bath, with or without AC, ceiling fan, fridge and a coffee machine.
Suites
These are our best equipped rooms. All of them with private bath, ceiling fan, fridge, coffee machine, Safebox, private terrace with hammock, AC and Cable-TV. Some with king- and sofabed, others with two double beds.
Studio 192
The new Studio 192, with its separate entrance from 5 th Av. is located on the first floor of the building and is suitable for up to 4 persons.It is equipped with a Queensize bed and a sitting area with a convertible couch, bathroom, WC, Safebox, kitchenette, fridge, cooking utensils, coffee machine and dinning table for 4, as well as a ceiling fan, AC and Cable-TV.
The Studio surrounded with ceiling to floor widows, gives you the unique possibility to view the colorful happenings of the most exciting 5th Avenue on the Mayan Riviera with all the restaurants, bars, cafes and beaches at your door.
THE POSADA FREUD PENTHOUSE
The Hotel Posada Freud Penthouse can be your confortable vacation home in the middle of down town Playa del Carmen located right on 5th. Avenue on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the hotel building…
Enjoy it with your family, a group of friends or maybe you want to come over with a diving group or a wedding group, if you are planing to get married on the white beach with the crystal clear Caribbean sea in the background.
Only a one minute walk to the white sandy beach the penthouse offers you 3 bedrooms, two with AC, 3 bathrooms, a completely equipped kitchen, 5 terraces, two of which are furnished as dining and living areas and a spectacular oceanview rooftop.
All this framed by our beloved Caribbean Almond trees, which provide a much appreciated shade. A spacious livingroom with adjoining sleeping alcove for two, sleeps up to 8 confortably. For larger parties livingroom sofas can easily turn into single beds at night (up to 10). Also includes CD player, cable TV throughout with a selection of American, German, Italian, French and Japanese channels.
The penthouse with it`s beautiful mahogany doors and windows, thatched roof, surrounded by terraces and balconies provide refreshing breezes through the entire house giving you the impression of being in a exotic and dreamlike tree house wonderland.
And If you’re really lucky, you might even have the chance of spotting our resident squirrles stealing our almond nuts!
The spacious surroundings just cry out for parties, the hammocks to relax, the view to dream, the rooftop terrace to count cruise ships by day and stars by night.
With hand painted Talavera ceramics, wrought iron, arches, mexican tiles and handycrafts, you will never forget where you are.

Cancellation withouth charge up to 7 days prior to arrival. After that the deposit is non-refundable.

We require 30% deposit which has to be paid within 2 weeks. Cancellation withouth charge up to 14 days prior to arrival. Less than 14 days, the deposit is non-refundable.
Posada Freud is able to accept visa and mastercard on their premises for balance due.
From 7 pm to 12 pm you can enjoy Salsa, Son, Rock, Pop, Jazz, Blues and Live music from the bar next door.
