Please note that our cabanas are candlelit and DO NOT have electricity! One reason for this decision is during June – September, we are fortunate to have turtles lay eggs on our beaches. The absence of light allows more successful hatchlings to find their way back to the sea!!! In order to place a reservation, we require a 100% payment.

Restaurant
Our restaurant, located on the Cabanas Copal premises, is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Breakfast options include a wide choice of egg dishes, omelettes, quesadillas, fresh tropical fruit salads, and müesli. Freshly squeezed orange juice is available daily, as well as a variety of fresh tropical fruits blended with water or milk.
The lunch menu is simple: refreshing chilled soups and sandwiches. You can also request a box lunch to go if you are planning a day out.
Our dinner menu begins at 18:00 hrs. and includes a variety of fresh fish and seafood dishes such a lobster and shrimp, grilled chicken, and many vegetarian specials, such as vegetable soups and vegetarian crepesAll dishes may be enjoyed in our comfortable open palapas. Room service is also available upon request, so you can enjoy your dinner in front of your palapa. Imagine dining by the sea, surrounded by lush palm trees, listening to romantic music performed by our own violinist, Ariel.
The bar offers a variety of wines as well as international liquors and tropical cocktails, such as piña coladas and mango margaritas.

Casita
(Double occupancy, sea view)
Our largest and newest cabaña (built in January 2002) is situated on the highest part of the property, where the cabañas of Copal end and the tropical jungle flows into a sea of green. Perched on the top of a rocky cliff with easy beach access, this private casita has a spectacular 180° sea view with windows from ceiling to floor. A wide front porch extends the living area in front of the cabaña, providing a shady area to relax.
This is a double-occupancy cabaña, with one king sized bed. The mosaic tile bathtub and shower both have hot water. This is our most private cabaña, located on the far end of Copal. A rocky stairway leads down to the sandy beach below.
We require a minimum stay of seven nights for the casita. No children please.

Seaview quad

Seven of our cabañas have two queen size beds and a private bathroom (toilet, sink, and shower with hot water). These are all built of wood native to the peninsula in the traditional Mayan style and are stuccoed on the inside. All have natural stone or cement floors. The cabañas have a spectacular panoramic view of the sea and a combination of glass and screen windows for optimal ventilation.
The cabañas with private bathrooms are perfect for families. These rooms sleep up to four people. All beds are equipped with mosquito nets for your comfort during the rainy season. Rate is per cabaña, based on maximum 4 guests.
Garden view quad
(Quadruple occupancy, garden view)
Two of our cabañas with garden view have two queen size beds and a private bathroom (toilet, sink, and shower with hot water). These cabanas are perfect for families on a budget. The garden view quads sleep up to four people.
All beds are equipped with mosquito nets for your comfort during the rainy season. Please keep in mind that during the summer months the sea view cabanas will be breezier than the garden view ones. Rate is per cabaña, based on maximum 4 guests.
Family quad: Great option for a couple with two kids. One king size bed, two bunks.

These are our most popular cabañas among couples, with a series of windows to enjoy the sea view. The bedroom area is four meters in diameter, and they have one king size bed and cement floors. These cabañas are perfect for couples seeking a relaxing, romantic getaway.
All bathrooms have toilet, sink, and shower with hot water. All cabanas have a combination of screen and glass windows for air circulation, but the sea view cabanas are definitely breezier than garden view cabanas. Rate is per cabaña, based on maximum 2 guests.

These cabañas are all located on the higher part of Copal, with a partial sea view. There are cabanas and foliage between these cabanas and the sea, but each one has its own partial view of the sea. They have one king size bed and cement floors. These cabañas are perfect for couples seeking a relaxing, romantic vacation.
All bathrooms have toilet, sink, and shower with hot water. Rate is per cabaña, based on maximum 2 guests.

These cabañas are all located in the second line of cabañas, surrounded by the tropical garden. The bedroom area measures four meters in diameter, and all have one king size bed and cement floors, for a maximum of two people per cabaña. These cabañas are perfect for couples seeking a relaxing, romantic vacation.
All bathrooms have toilet, sink, and shower with hot water.
Please keep in mind that during the summer months the sea view cabanas will be breezier than the garden view ones. Rate is per cabaña, based on maximum 2 guests.

Copal Policies:
In order to place a reservation, we require a 100% deposit for the amount.
We do not have a minimum stay except during the holiday season, when there is a minimum seven night stay.
Once we have confirmed your reservation, we cannot accept date changes and no refunds can be given. Please let us know us if you will be arriving late. All reservations will be canceled by 3:00 p.m. the following day if the guest does not arrive as scheduled, according to date of arrival. (More detail below).
Reservation Process
We will process 100% payment for your stay, at time of booking. Your credit card will show ECO-RES/TICKETMASTER. Your reservation is unconditionally non-refundable. No refunds will be given for cancellations – Credit valid for one year will be issued. ”PLEASE PURCHASE CANCELLATION INSURANCE“ Cancellations/Changes must be made at least 48 hours prior to arrival and a $50usd fee applies. Changes/cancellations within 48 hours in advance are subject to one night charge (credit will be issued for the remaining non- refundable balance)- Date changes are not accepted on the day of arrival – day of arrival cancellations are completely non-refundable and not valid for credit. If you are arriving late, (we will hold the accommodation until 12pm the following day.
VERY IMPORTANT CANCELLATION POLICY
EcoTulum Resorts (Copal) highly recommends that you purchase trip cancellation service as reservations are non-refundable. The insurance will cover you in case of a natural disaster or medical emergency (please verify all terms and conditions with the insurance company).If there is a Tropical Storm Warning or a Hurricane Warning issued for Mexico, Azulik, Zahra, Cabanas Copal and Maya Spa may close before or during your scheduled reservation and you may be asked not to come or be asked to leave early. If you do not purchase insurance coverage, and are unable to travel, are unable to stay in our accommodations, or are asked not to come or to checkout, or to depart early due to a tropical storm or hurricane, EcoTulum Resorts will hold on account for one year, the unused balance of your reservation which may be applied toward the payment for any new reservation beginning within one year of the originally scheduled arrival date. In the event of these circumstances, we will waive the $50 usd. cancellation fee.We will not hold waive the $50 usd. cancellation/change fee if you are unable to travel because of cancelled flights, personal reasons, medical emergencies or any other condition causing a cancellation or change of dates. If you do not purchase insurance, if you choose to leave, you will not be refunded or credited for the unused portion of your stay. Under all circumstances, EcoTulum Resorts and its reservations office, Eco-Res, shall not issue a refund whatsoever.
EcoTulum Resorts strongly recommends and encourages trip cancellation insurance!
No shows, late arrivals (beyond 12pm the day following your planned arrival date), early departures are all non-refundable. No refunds will be granted. Guests who abandon the rooms of EcoTulum Resorts (Azulik, Zahra, and Cabanas Copal) for any reason whatsoever agree they have no rights to compensation.
