ZAMAS is a small beach cabana hotel in TULUM with thatch roofs and colorful tile décor is pure jungle luxury with a splash of sea. Situated on a strip of the Riviera Maya, the rustic-chic ambiance exudes hammock culture. From the open air restaurant with delightfully strong margaritas to the weathered-wood beach chairs under large palm shades, the effect is absolutely Caribbean. The spicy days and balmy nights make the daze we dream. Like a sultry love affair, it’s untamed and beautiful.
Zamas has been written up in many magazines for its accommodations as well as its excellent restaurant named Que Fresco! ¡Que Fresco! Restaurant is widely famed for its fantastic food. Fresh in concept and preparation, the menu appeals to many palettes. Fish is the signature item, from fresh Lobster to Grouper and Snapper that are spiced with Caribbean and Mayan flavors. Other savory options include wood fired gourmet pizza and delicious vegetarian fare. Fresh fruits and vegetables abound both in main courses and side dishes. The famous ZAMAS Margarita is Muy Fuerte. Open Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

ZAMAS property spans over three acres along the Caribbean coast. Five kilometers to the north are the Tulum Ruins and to the south are forty-five kilometers of beach, most of which is part of the Sian Ka’an Reserve. We sit on a cove with a rock bluff, giving our beach one of the rare westward views of sunset over the jungle. There is a beach road which travels through the property; some of the rooms sit west of this road (jungle side) and some are beach side. Our bungalows are architecturally designed to reflect traditional Maya style. We have both individual cabanas and niche spaces in larger bungalows. Each of our rooms is unique in design and location and may be generally categorized as follows:
Top Floor Ocean View (sleeps 5)
Gorgeous views of the sea with delicious sea breezes in a spectacular jungle setting. The very spacious interiors have one king, one queen and one twin bed each. These rooms sit west of the beach access road (jungle side).
Beachfront (sleeps 3)
Beautiful setting just steps from the sea. Each room has one king and one twin bed. Close location to beach and restaurant activity. May be too noisy for some guests.
Small Beachfront (sleeps 2)
Beautiful setting just steps from the sea. Each room has a queen bed and private attached, exterior bathroom.
Two Room Garden Cabana (sleeps 6/rate is for 1-4 pers)
Filtered views of the sea with spacious accommodation. Perfect for families; not enough privacy for separate couples. One king/queen/twin or two queen and two twin beds.
Spacious Garden (sleeps 4)
Colorful and comfortable spaces; some are individual cabanas located on beach side; others are separate spaces within larger bungalows on jungle side. Two queen or one queen and two twin beds.
Small Garden (sleeps 3)
Colorful and comfortable spaces; some are individual cabanas located on beach side; others are separate spaces within larger bungalows on jungle side. One queen and one twin bed.
