Puerto Morelos, the small fishing village famous for secluded, uncrowded white sand beaches.
It is located half way between the Cancun Airport and Playa del Carmen, Mexico.
The Barrier Reef comes especially close to the beaches in Puerto Morelos. They have created a National Marine Park to protect this precious environment. Because of this it makes Puerto Morelos a wonderful place to snorkel and scuba dive. There is a nearby crocodile farm and botanical garden.
